Free COVID Test Kits - Only PCR Available, OUT of Rapid
Does Puyallup Public Library offer take-home COVID test kits?
Yes, we offer PCR and Rapid COVID test kits via curbside pickup.
Simply drive up to our curbside parking and call the number on the sandwich board outside to request 1 kit. We can't do more than that due to limited supply. Please do not visit the library if you are the person experiencing COVID symptoms. Kits are for use by individuals age 2 and up. Each kit contains instructions on how to obtain a sample and the necessary equipment to collect the sample.
PCR tests can take 2-3 days to get results. You will need access to the internet to register your kit at home, and a current email address. Return kits to UPS the same day as your test. We recommend that you watch this video which describes the process for registering, administering, and returning your test. Shipping is pre-paid. Tests should be returned to a UPS location or dropbox. Please do not return your kit to the library. Please check out the LetsGetChecked COVID-19 test kit flyer for more information on the test and what is included in the PCR test kit.
Rapid tests can be done completely from home and do not require returning the kit anywhere. Learn how the antigen kits work from the On/Go flyer that we include in the kit.
These kits are provided by the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

Greater Seattle Coronavirus Assessment Network (SCAN) - PCR Tests
