The City of Puyallup proposes to annex an 8-acre area of the city's Urban Growth Area known as the "39th Avenue SW Annexation" located southwest of Puyallup corporate limits. At the April 5, 2016, hearing, the City Council will take public comment on the proposed annexation of this area, and the assignment of City zoning to the annexation area.
The City is processing an annexation southwest of 39th Avenue SW and 9th Street SW (download an area map (PDF)). The Planning Commission held a public hearing at their meeting on December 10, 2014, and voted to recommend the zoning designation RS-06 to the proposed annexation area.
City Council held a meeting with the annexation proponent on November 4, 2014. At that meeting, Council passed a resolution authorizing circulation of an annexation petition.
